With more than 50 affiliated nations worldwide, over 70 participating countries and thousands of dancers joining, it has come to be known as the "Olympics" of Hip Hop and Street Dance.

Hip Hop International Philippines is directed by Xernan G. Alfonso and Regine C. Alfonso. Xernan and Regine are both gold and bronze medalists at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in 2012. From 2014 to 2017, Xernan was part of the panel of judges at the World Championships and is now currently an Elite Judge and Rules & Regulations cou

In 2018, the husband and wife duo acquired the Hip Hop International affiliate license for the Philippines.
