Hip Hop Internation Philippines is the official Philippine affiliate of Hip Hop Interational. Founded in 2002 and based in Los Angeles, Hip Hop International aims to unite the world of Hip Hop through dance. The World Hip Hop Dance Championship is held annually in the United States. With more than 50 affiliated nations worldwide, over 70 participating countries and thousands of dancers joining, it has come to be known as the "Olympics" of Hip Hop and Street Dance.
Hip Hop International Philippines not only aims to uplift the art of dance in the country but to also serve as a stepping stone for dancers who strive to turn their passion into a profession. From Rules & Regulations Courses, Dance Workshops, Battles and the highly anticipated Hip Hop Dance Championships, Hip Hop International Philippines is the biggest avenue for dancers to hone, improve and master their craft to possibly make a living from their passion in the future.
Hip Hop International Philippines is directed by Xernan G. Alfonso and Regine C. Alfonso. Xernan and Regine are both gold and bronze medalists at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in 2012. From 2014 to 2017, Xernan was part of the panel of judges at the World Championships and is now currently an Elite Judge and Rules & Regulations course presenter. In 2018, the husband and wife duo acquired the Hip Hop International affiliate license for the Philippines.
